Pupil-Yield Studies

Data is evolving into mapping formats. Area assessors/auditors offices map properties to ensure they are taxing the citizens correctly. This information can be coupled with school district data to provide a rich dataset that shows how many students come out of the housing stock in the area.

Pupil-yield studies are helpful for school districts, in that the results help them understand the numbers of students that various housing types are yielding. Data can be organized by housing type, region of the district, price range, or other factors. Using this data, a school district can provide an accurate estimate on how many students a new planned development could bring in.
